As a regular mountain hiker, I am becoming increasingly frustrated and angry at the coyness on the part of the media when it comes to describing what the mountain muggers look like, particularly when it comes to their race.
It is only in South Africa that this coyness exists, obviously out of fear of being politically incorrect. In other countries, race is one of the first descriptors used by the police when looking for criminal suspects.
