Fed: Millionaires receive family benefit payments
Millionaires have received family tax breaks, prompting an urgent federal governmentinvestigation.
Family and Community Services Minister AMANDA VANSTONE says a small number of wealthyAustralians have received payments through the Family Tax Benefit system.
Senator VANSTONE says this is completely unacceptable.
Labor has continually attacked the controversial FTB system, claiming about 650,000families would have overpaid family benefits deducted from their tax returns this year.
Senator VANSTONE says she's instructed her department to conduct an urgent investigationinto the latest bungle.
